The dealer was contacted; however, the contact was informed that the recall had expired and was no longer available. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure regarding the unrepaired recall.

The transmission oil cooler pipes commonly leak on 2010-2013 LR4 and Range Rover Sport (LS) to the extent that a TSB (LTB00378NAS2) was issued on September 9th 2014 by JLR. The fluid leak causes undue wear on the transmission along with corrosion of the chasis. JLR in Alpharetta, GA wants to charge $3,100 dollars to replace the defective parts. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed that the brakes had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer was contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 117,000.

I called the Jaguar Land Rover dealership located in Frisco, TX to schedule a maintenance appointment. Before asking what type of maintenance I needed the representative continued to tell me that my vehicle could not be serviced there. I asked why and was told they do not the tools to fix it due to it being a 2010 model. They also said I had 2 recalls but maybe I could try another service facility.
